BTI is looking for dancers for the 2016-2017 season.
What You Can Offer Us
First and foremost, we want you to dance, obviously. We are looking for dancers who want to keep learning and growing, who don’t want to become complacent, and who believe that company class is not just a time to warm up your body, but also a time to keep stretching your body and mind to new levels.
Do you have a passion for choreography? A knowledge of costuming? A heart for outreach and education? We want you to bring your other talents and skills to the table.
BTI is especially interested in hiring a dancer with development and fundraising training or experience.
What We Can Offer You
A Flexible Schedule
Let’s be honest: dancers need to work a second job to make ends meet. We can offer you the flexibility to make that job easier to find and hold onto.
Classes…Lots of Classes!
In addition to company class, dancers will be welcome to attend any class at Performer’s Edge School for the Performing Arts, giving you access to ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, partnering, and variations.
Full Company Status and Performances
If we hire you, you will rank as a full company member. You will not languish in the back line of a massive corps de ballet or spend years waiting to move up from an apprentice, trainee, or second company position. We want each company member to have the opportunity to dance soloist or principal roles.
How to Audition
If possible, we would love to have you come and take class with the company at Performer’s Edge, our host school. That will give you a chance to see the studio space and us a chance to see you in person. If that isn't manageable, send us a resume and a link to a video audition to Stirling Matheson.
